With the weather being how it is here in Houston at this point, I'd say that we skipped right on over Spring and Straight into Summer. It has been so dang hot lately (higher 90's-100)  I barely want to spend time hanging outside during the day! Lately, I have been spending more evenings on my back porch with my dogs while eating watermelon, listening to music, and/or reading with a glass of wine or chilled rosé in hand. These types of days (especially on a Sunday) just make me so happy. On Sunday I literally spent about 5 hours in the backyard under some shade of course and enjoyed every bit of that time.

If you follow me on the 'Gram, then you probably already saw in my caption on the first photo that I posted from this blog post about how I am so into linen for this Spring/Summer. This top that I am wearing here isn't really linen, it just feels like it. I was sold on the detailing. Double tie-knots, cropped, AND comfortable. May I add that it's also currently on sale?! And when have polka dots ever gone out of style? Never! Lately I have been adding lots of linen pieces like this particular dress, and this top (which is now sold out - but could restock) to my list of what I'd like to wear soon. I couldn't help but to wear this polka dot top with a pair of white denim like these Joan high rise wide-leg cropped from J-Brand. I actually pictured this entire outfit in my head before I even bought the pants. Does anyone else do that? If you click the link and view the pants on the website, you can see that the hem isn't raw. Well, I love the look of  raw hem jeans a little bit better so I cut them myself! Yes, I was brave enough to take the risk and tailor them to my liking even though they were pretty pricey. But OH so worth it. I'm sure that I'll wear the heck out of these until Labor Day when the rule "says" that you should stop wearing white. Who cares? I'd wear these pants in the Winter with an ivory or white sweater and call it my Winter white look. What fashion-dares have you considered/done? Let me know your thoughts! Thank you so much for reading! You could be any place on the web, but you're here with me. <3
